I’ve now been blogging for a month and so far so good! I’ve really enjoyed it, I feel like I’ve learned a lot about myself, and I’ve had an increasing number of page views (except for today which dropped drastically).
So here’s to another month!
Lunch today was not at all appetizing.

I had some of my leftover salad from last night minus the lettuce and chickpeas.

Then I had an open-faced hummus sandwich.
I also had a bag of Cape Code salt and vinegar potato chips and a nectarine because I can’t stop eating today.
Before my run I had several snacks including a spoonful of white chocolate peanut butter:

Then I had a few mini peanut butter cups, a piece of cheese, and half of this kid’s Lara bar:

Not good, not good at all.
I went for a run tonight with Laura. It’s so much easier to run with someone else. We started out and my ankles were sore and I was so nauseated (that will teach me to eat so much food), but I pushed through. We did about 2.5 miles in 24 minutes which I think is great. We ended after going even farther up the big hill then we went the other day.
I think my goal is going to be to run around the entire park. It’s just over 3.25 miles so it’s not that much farther than a 5k. It does involve a really big hill, but I know I can do it.
Dinner was delicious. Even though I still felt a little sick to my stomach I decided to make the enchiladas I had planned because I’d be looking forward to them all day.
I used Trader Joe’s enchilada sauce:

It looks really rich, but I don’t think it was unhealthy. They’re corn tortillas which are good, they’re filled with kidney beans simmered in 1/4 cup of the sauce, and then they’re topped with another 1/4 cup of sauce, 1/4 cup of cheese, and a little bit of guac. The sauce itself is pretty healthy: 30 calories, 1.5g of fat.
And they were great.
I’m supposed to go to the US Open qualifying after work (half day) tomorrow, but we’re supposed to be getting a tropical storm this weekend. Fingers crossed for no rain tomorrow afternoon!
