No, seriously, I am. I went to the gym today and changed, locked my locker, and went upstairs to get on a treadmill. The moment I stepped on my treadmill I thought, what’s the lock combination? And I couldn’t think of it. But I thought, oh I’ll remember by the time I go back.
Well, I ran my 3 miles, I did the bike for 20 minutes, I did abs, I stretched, and I went downstairs. Still no clue. I thought it was 38-04-22, but it wasn’t working. And people were looking at me. And no one wanted to joke or laugh when I said funny thing out loud!
So I tried 22-04-38 and 38-22-04 and nothing. So I went upstairs and asked the guy at the desk, who was very nice, what they do in these situations, and he said they have a thing to cut it. I said I’d think about it.
I knew I had the combination written down at home, but I wasn’t sure if my roommates were home and since my cell phone was in my locker I couldn’t call. And I didn’t want to walk home and ring the buzzer because what if they weren’t home? I would have walked 7 blocks in sweaty clothes.
So I tried a few more times, decided it was worth the $6 for a new lock, and had them cut it.
It was really funny. I probably should be embarrassed, but really it’s just funny. People were really staring when the lady came with the giant pliers.
I managed to recover from all of this to make stops at two grocery stores. Store number one had chickpeas and sandwich thins but no pineapple Chobani and store number two had pineapple Chobani (bought 6 containers, I am addicted!) and Touch of Sea Salt dark chocolate (I’ve only had 3 squares from the bar I bought yesterday but I wanted to stock up).
When I finally got home I made Meghann’s Chickpea Parmesan Burgers.

I made 6 all together (I doubled the recipe). I had one for dinner, I’m bringing one for lunch tomorrow, and I have 4 frozen.
The only change I made was adding broccoli instead mushrooms (I know, they’re on the list of things to learn to like!). I cooked them for 2 minutes on each side on top of the stove and then cooked them for 10 minutes on each side at 400* in the oven. I like them really crispy on the outside.

Finished meal with the burger on a multi-grain sandwich thin with more tomato sauce and asiago cheese on top. And then a giant handful of spinach, I felt like I needed some greens.
Plus a honeycrisp apple. So good.
I’m off to bed. I am so tired. Waking up this morning was tough!
The locker thing is something I used to worry about constantly… Those “brain farts” happen to me with ATM codes and alarm codes all the time. Luckily I have a lock now that the combination is my birthday.
I was thinking of getting a combination lock that I can set the combination, but I don’t know if I can bring myself to spend more money on my forgetfulness! I think I’m just going to tape the new combination to the back of my iPod.
