1. Brunch. I rarely leave brunch satisfied. It’s just not my favorite meal. Brunch doesn’t normally happen until 11am or later and if I’m up at 8am, I need to eat something before that, ie. breakfast. So then I’m left with lunch and there aren’t always great lunch options on brunch menus. But on Saturday my roommate Grace and I went to Buttermilk Channel for brunch (where I’ve been before) and rather than having something savory, I went for the pecan pie French toast. AND IT WAS AMAZING. Seriously one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Give me that any day and I will love brunch.
2. Homeland. I’ve written about my love of TV before, BUT OH MY GOD YOU GUYS, HOMELAND IS AMAZING. If you’re not watching this show start right now. Literally, download it, watch it on demand, buy the DVDS IMMEDIATELY. The way the new season started out last night was fantastic and I have no doubt the second season will be just as phenomenal as the first.
3. My roommates. We celebrated Grace’s birthday last weekend and Abby’s birthday this weekend and they (and their friends) are just fun to be around at home and out and about. Plus they’ve been incredibly supportive through all my family drama over the last month. I have really lucked out with the roommate draw in my life.
And a very happy birthday to my grandma today!
